G.I. 'Lawrie' Lawrence
Realtor / Broker
After receiving a corporate buyout of his eight-office real estate business in Perth, Australia, Lawrie, his wife and their three children traveled the entire USA in a motorhome for two years and visited 44 states. Falling in love with Lake Norman, the Lawrences decided to settle in Mooresville.
Lawrie went about doing what he does best and set up a boutique agency on Brawley School Road. He had a five-year plan to be the top selling agent in Lake Norman – he achieved Top Mooresville Agent in just 3 years and the Top Agent in Lake Norman the following year in 2014. Out of over 35,000 agents, Lawrie is recognized as the #3 top agent in the entire state of North Carolina.
Lawrie believes real estate is a results-oriented industry and sellers want and deserve agents who deliver on their promises. Many agents do not invest substantially in their listings and do little more than put a sign in the front yard and list the home on MLS. Lawrie takes a much more proactive and aggressive position with his listings which typically achieves 200-300% more showings. He firmly believes a new listing is playing in a race against time. "We average 26 showings on a home before we sell the property. If you don't market aggressively and take 6 or more months to achieve that many showings, you run the risk of the listing going stale in the marketplace and buyers questioning what is wrong with this home. It progressively gets harder to get offers once you have been on the market for a long time and any offer then tend to be lower as buyers perceive the listing is not as desirable and ask why it's still on the market."
"Always get 3 opinions", Lawrie says, "just make sure Century 21 Lawrie Lawrence is one of them."
